Love Conquers All has exactly the same prep as Black Piranha did two years back

NEW SOUTH WALES

SR 1-2 ABSTRACT  (Peter Snowden): Unbeaten 2yo who is primed to keep the roll going after strong Rosehill trial win on 17 May. Also in that race is SR 1-5 FLYING ZERO  (Chris Waller). It was placed in a trial at Randwick and it was about this time last year, using the same Pago Pago and a trial as his last efforts before heading to Brisbane, that Chris Waller let his good horse Pressday rip.

SR 4-3 GEARED UP  (Joe Pride): Boasts outstanding fresh record and looks ready to go again after his Warwick Farm trial win on 20 May. In the same event is the versatile SR 4-6 GIGAS  (Gai Waterhouse) who took on a Randwick trial to win back on 11 April indicating she has had a long prep getting ready for this.

SR 5-2 ZUTARA  (Gai Waterhouse) was ordered to trial after Canterbury failure on 7 May and duly delivered a solid trial win over some good types including Beaded at Rosehill on 17 May.

SR8: Trial form adds to confusion in this big field. Trial wins by (11) OTHELLO  at Warwick Farm and (19) BRIAN'S HONOUR  have not been missed by assessors in early markets but softer trial efforts by (4) REPROBATE  and (10) FOXSTAR  should also be noted by those playing the exotics.

NSW TRIALLERS RACING INTERSTATE:

BR 7-5 LOVE CONQUERS ALL  (Hawkes Partnership): Comes to Queensland off a nice trial win to aim up at the 10,000. He has exactly the same formlines as Black Piranha did two years back being runner up in the Ryder and Doncaster.

BR 8-1 GOLD TRAIL  (Gary Portelli): Was a dominant trial winner at Hawkesbury last week and gets set for his comeback since his overseas campaign this time last year. Loves these short course sprints.

VICTORIA

MR 5-6 GALBRAITH  (Peter Healey): Second in a Cranbourne trial on 19 April behind Rightfully Yours after a nine week fresh from a win over this course and distance. Flies fresh up.

MR 8-1 ABOUT READY  (Mick Price): Last December she won a Listed Race at Morphettville when resuming. She was not far behind Hinchinbrook this week in the trial so consider closely.

MR 8-6 VENUS WORLD  (Brian Jenkins): She ran some very nice races over the Spring and is right up to this class. The mare took the trial at Cranbourne earlier in the month and has to be a chance here with the claim.

QUEENSLAND

BR 3-4 LAKE GEORGE  (John Morrisey): Trialled as he usually does at the Gold Coast leading into a prep. First up last time won easily over a not too dissimilar distance.

BR 7-3 HAY LIST  (John McNair): Reported to working brilliantly in the lead up to his WFA conquest. Finally gets to shed Black Caviar's noose and depending on Stradbroke possibilities, this might be finale this campaign.

BR 8-2 DRENALIN  (James Lyons): After a prep with Robert Smerdon, winning a race at Caulfield during the Spring, he comes back to his former trainer after a trial win at Eagle Farm. He goes well fresh which is a bonus.

SOUTH AUSTRALIA

AR 7-17 COMIC COMPOSER  (Macdonald/Gluyas): Making debut for local stable. Has very honest Victorian and South Australian form and nicely weighted here. Won a trial here a fortnight ago and should give a sight fresh.
