Saturday, 2 July 2011: Hamburg will be forgiven if people think the football crowd are at the wrong venue, but it will be
because Derby favourite Brown Panther is owned by Michael Owen.
Brown Panther ran a spectacular race to win the George V at Royal Ascot and looked very capable of
making a big jump up in class, and so he's done one big leap and gone to Hamburg for the Deutches
Derby.
While he is a 5/2 favourite in UK, it won't be that easy. There are 18 runners in the field and he will have
to run every bit as well as he did at Ascot, but he's an exciting prospect. Kieren Fallon has been booked
for local favourite Arrigo 6/1 in UK, where they have Marwingo at 11/2, Ibicenco who is in good form is11/1
and our roughie Sommernachstraum is 20/1.
