Wednesday, 12 October 2011: Next week's Magic Millions National Horses In Training Sale at the Gold Coast will be the last opportunity to acquire two-year-olds by prolific sire General Nediym.

The late sire has five lots in the two-day sale on October 19 and 20.

General Nediym was only 14 when he died at Widden Stud in January of 2009.

His contribution to the sale includes a filly from Royal Isolt, a Royal Academy winner out of a Sir Tristram three-quarter sister to Melbourne Cup winner Empire Rose, and a colt from a three-quarter sister by Danehill to Light Jig, a G1 winner in America.

The deceased General Nediym is one of a long list of premier Hunter Valley sires with progeny in the catalogue.

The others include Al Maher, Aussie Rules, Beautiful Crown, Bernardini, Canny Lad, Charge Forward, Choisir, Danzero, Dehere, Dubawi, Elusive Quality, Encosta de Lago, Exceed and Excel, Holy Roman Emperor, Hussonet, Lonhro, Nadeem, Not a Single Doubt, Oratorio, Red Ransom, Rock of Gibraltar,
Shamardal, Snippetson, Stratum,Tale of the Cat and Testa Rossa.

Falvelon and Show A Heart, Ferocity, Mossman and Written Tycoon are six Queensland sired and bred sires who have lots listed for the sale.

Other proven Queensland sires contributing to the catalogue include Jet Spur, Bradbury's Luck, All Bar One, Break the Vault, Freeze, Hidden Dragon, Hotel Grand, Minardi, Nothing to Lose, Red Dazzler, Sequalo, Seidnazar, Shovhog and Stromberg Carlson.

There is certain to be keen demand for the lots by Show A Heart, the current king of the breed in Queensland.

Through the first two months of the current season he has had 23 individual winners to reaffirm that he is the current leading performer of the Star Kingdom male line.

Show A Heart has eight lots, all colts, among the 300 juveniles in the Horses in Training sale catalogue including brothers to Shoboard (Sydney Listed winner), Show The Beel (NZ winner), Hostwin Champion (Macau) and Sky Mascot (Hong Kong).
