Wednesday, 9 November 2011: Melbourne Cup winner Dunaden and runner-up Red Cadeaux are set for a rematch in Hong Kong following a change of plans by the connection of the French stayer.

Dunaden 
was to leave Melbourne and return to France on Friday night but trainer Mikel Delzangles and owner Sheik Fahad al Thani today decided to chase the G1 Hong Kong Vase over 2400m at Sha Tin on December 11.
He will now stay in training at the Werribee international horse centre with
Red Cadeaux 
, the horse he beat by less than centimetre in last week’s Melbourne Cup over 3200m at Flemington.
Last year’s Melbourne Cup winner Americain, fourth behind Dunaden last week, may also go to Hong Kong for the Vase depending on his performance in Saturday's Zipping Classic at Betfair Park Sandown.
The Alain de Royer Dupre-trained Americain was a fast finishing third in last year's Hong Kong Vase six weeks after winning the Melbourne Cup.
