Friday, 13 January 2012: TAB Sportsbet punters have narrowed Saturday's Magic Millions 2YO Classic at the Gold Coast down to three chances with the favourite Driefontein, Sizzling and Amorino accounting for 70 percent of bets in the last 24 hours.

Unbeaten Sydney filly Driefontein has firmed from $3.30 to $2.90 since Tuesday's barrier draw with some punters taking particular interest in the place odds about the favourite while others have anchored the filly in multiple bets.

Place bets on Driefontein have included $16,000 at $1.51 and $10,000 at $1.46.

Driefontein's win bets since the draw have included $3000 @ $3.30, $4000 @ $3.20, $6000 @ $3.10 and $5000 @ $3.

All in bets placed before the declaration of the final field included $4000 at $3.80 on Driefontein; $4,000 at $3.30 on Sizzling; $3000 at $7.00 on Amorino and $3000 at $5.00 on Amorino.

Best backed among the others in the field have been Driefontein's stablemate No Looking Back ($16), Wyong Magic Millions winner Hoss Amor ($18) and Lady Colours ($31).

There has been little interest in the Magic Millions 3YO Guineas as punters bet around the $4 favourite Safusa.

Easy Running has been the best backed with bets of $1500 @ $11 and $1200 @ $9.50 since the barrier draw and is $11 to $7.50,m the support triggered by possible rain.

Lucky Morna and Subarc also have support.

Noisy Ocean ($1000 e/w @ $35 and $500 e/w at $26) has also had support at longs odds.

Other horses well supported on the Gold Coast program have been Stratford, My Destiny and Miss Marx.

The Magic Millions Cup favourite Catapulted is none from two at 1400 metres and is easy in the market.

The forecast of a few showers has seen money appear for superior wet tracker Ready To Rip.

At Rosehill big bets have been laid against Sikka, Cabernet and Maules Creek while If I Could, Instalment, There's Only One, Leoncita and Power Oraylee are in demand at Flemington.
