The talented 5YO mare Cabernet was at her best winning by an impressive two and three-quarter lengths over 1400m.
The Grahame Begg-trained mare made light work of picking up the leaders and cleared out for her breakthrough win in open company and the fifth in her career from only 14 starts.
Proven black-type performer Kinnersley provided AL Maher with the second leg of his notable double when leading for the last 800m to win over 1300m at his first start since July of 2011.
The gelding has now won three of his nine lifetime starts and was also Group-placed when second in the G3 Tasmanian Derby as a three-year-old.
Both Cabernet and Kinnersley are members of Al Maher's first-crop to race.
Other representatives of the same foal crop include Group winners Majestic Music, King Lionheart, Speedy Natalie, Marheta, Budriguez and the recent Bagot Handicap winner Unchain My Heart.
