Thursday, 9 February 2012: Brenton Avdulla has been booked to ride WA Guineas winner King Saul when the promising three-year-old commences his autumn campaign in a hotly contested Royal Sovereign Stakes on February 18.

Avdulla will take the ride on King Saul who makes his eastern state debut in the Group 2 Royal Sovereign Stakes (1200m) at Warwick Farm on Saturday week.
He will partner the Flying Pegasus gelding in what is shaping as a particularly strong renewal of the event.
While
King Saul 
was the winner of the Group 2 WA Guineas and also placed in the Group 1 Kingston Town Stakes (1800m) over the Summer, other stakes performed three-year-olds down to contest the race include

Avdulla partnered Ilovethiscity in last years Royal Sovereign Stakes where the pair finished fourth behind the Peter Moody-trained

then went on to claim the Hobartville Stakes (1400m) and the Randwick Guineas (1600m) at his following two starts.
