  Story By Rob Burnet

Wednesday, 29 February 2012: There is a capacity field of 13 plus one emergency for Saturday's $200,000 Group 2 Hobartville Stakes at Rosehill with contrasting barrier fortunes for leading runners.

The first five home in the Group 2 Royal Sovereign Stakes (1200m) at Warwick Farm earlier this month are in the field with the winner Hot Snitzel  and Hugh Bowman drawing barrier four, and third placegetter Moment Of Change  and Linda Meech drawing barrier two.

Second-placed Manawanui  is reunited with Glyn Schofield however they have barrier 10, while fourth-placed Rekindled Alliance  with Corey Brown is wider at barrier 14. Doctor Doom  and Rod Quinn, fifth in the Royal Sovereign Stakes have barrier eight.

The Peter Snowden stable has four entries. Induna , the winner of the listed Geelong Classic (2200m) and second in the Group One Victoria Derby (2500m) in the spring, Galah , the winner of the listed Lightway Stakes (1400m) and the Group Three Carbine Club Stakes (1600m) also in the spring and Freewheeling , the winner of the Group Two Champagne Stakes (1200m) at Doomben in May, are all resuming. They have barrier six, one and 12 respectively.

The fourth entry is Ambidexter , who was eighth in the Royal Sovereign Stakes, and with barrier nine.

There is a field of 11 juveniles for the $200,000, Group Two, Silver Slipper Stakes (1100m) with the winner exempt from the ballot for the $3.5m Group One AMMI Golden Slipper (1200m) at Rosehill on April 7th.

The field includes the Gai Waterhouse trained Lonhro colt Pierro  who won the listed Thoroughbred Breeders Plate over 1000m at Randwick on October 1 and has not been seen on the race track since. Nash Rawiller rides from barrier seven.

The John Thompson trained Hussousa , who was a noticeable fast-closing third to Driefontein  in the listed Widden Stakes over 1000m at Warwick Farm on February 18, has Hugh Bowman and barrier five.

Also in the field are the Gerald Ryan trained Assassinate , a winner over 1000m at Wyong on February 19, and the David Pfieffer trained Nediym's Quest  who was a late scratching at the barriers in the Canonbury Stakes and who has since trialled for Racing NSW stewards.

There are three other black type races on the eight race programme - the $125,000 Group Three Millie Fox Stakes (1300m) has a field of 11 with the Waterhouse trained Group Two winner More Strawberries  resuming with top-weight of 58kg, the $100,000 listed Parramatta Cup (2000m) with a field of 12 with top-weight of 59kg shared by King Lionheart  and Rainbow Styling , and the $100,000 listed Fireball Quality Handicap (1100m) with a field of 10 and Salade  top-weight at 58kg.
