A $1.025 million yearling purchase by Nathan Tinkler's Patinack Farm, All Too Hard scored by four lengths in the G2 VRC Sires Produce Stakes to earn comparisons from his trainer John Hawkes to his former superstars Octagonal and Lonhro at the same age.
"I've trained a few good colts over the years," Hawkes said. "He's right up there with them."
All Too Hard is unbeaten in two starts and has put his sire Casino Prince (Flying Spur) on top of the first season sires list by earnings with his Patinack Farm barnmate
Husson (
Hussonet) in second place.
All Too Hard (Casino Prince x Helsinge, by Desert Sun) was the star of last year's Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale when sold to Hawkes Racing on behalf of Patinack Farm
Makybe as agent for Gilgai Farm will offer Black Caviar and All Too Hard's yearling half-sister by Redoute's Choice at this year's Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale.
