Thursday, 22 March 2012: Kiwi galloper He's Remarkable is the Doncaster Handicap firmer after winning today's Newcastle Newmarket.
The Roger James trained runner has tasted the highs and lows of Australian racing over the last 6 months with wins in Melbourne and now Newcastle to somehow ease the pain of a Group 1 loss, on protest, in Perth last summer.
He returned to Australia with today's win and sees himself on a Doncaster Handicap path.
As recently as last Friday He's Remarkable was a $51 for the Doncaster and firmed to $35 before today.
Support came for him with bets of $200 x $150 @ $51/$13.50, $1000 @ $35 and $500 @ $21 immediately after the win.
