Tuesday, 27 March 2012: Racing Victoria has released its full 2012-13 racing calendar listing the date and venue of all 576 meetings to be conducted across the state from 1 August.
The new season will commence on a Wednesday afternoon at Mornington with the first of 116 metropolitan meetings scheduled for the season across six tracks – Sandown (30), Moonee Valley (29), Caulfield (26), Flemington (23), Mornington (7) and Bendigo (1).
There are 426 country meetings programmed for the season across 52 tracks including 15 night meetings at Cranbourne, the first of which is scheduled for Friday, 12 October 2012.
The state's burgeoning night racing circuit will collectively showcase 33 metropolitan (Moonee Valley) and country (Cranbourne) meetings from Friday, 28 September to Friday, 12 April 2013.
The state's thriving picnic circuit hosts the balance of meetings with 34 programmed across 13 tracks from Healesville on Saturday, 3 November 2012 through until Tambo Valley on Easter Sunday, 31 March 2013.
