Monday, 16 April 2012: Dragon Pulse got up right on the line to end Dabirsim's unbeaten run in the Prix de Fontainebleau at Longchamp.

Dragon Pulse is now with Mikel Delzangles, who sent out Makfi to land the 2000 Guineas at Newmarket in 2010.
The Christophe Ferland-trained Dabirsim, winner of all five starts as a juvenile, the last two of which were in Group One company under Frankie Dettori, was being ridden by Christophe Soumillon for the first time.
He was very keen in the early stages, but looked to have the field covered when moving smoothly to the front, with Soumillon checking over both shoulders for dangers.
However,
Dragon Pulse had himself quickened into contention, and despite Soumillon immediately getting serious, the Delzangles colt had the momentum and put his head in front where it mattered.
