Busy time for Number One Club stable
There will be over $13,000 up for grabs this Friday afternoon thanks to the Number One Club Stable.
Two of the animals, Numberone Amenophis and The Big Mach, will be in action at Tabcorp Park Menangle and are given good chances in their respective races.
Numberone Amenophis will be the first cab off the rank when he goes around in the seventh event.
Trainer-driver Luke McCarthy said the horse has done well since finishing third to stablemate Excel Stride on March 30.
“He's enjoyed a couple of weeks off but he'll be right to go on Friday,” he said.
“Unfortunately he has come up with a tricky draw (seven) in a tough race but I think he can be thereabouts at the finish with a good run.”
Numberone Amenophis' five Number One Club owners for the day are Garry C, Cathy S, Mark H, Colin H and Anthony C, who will share in over $6,000 in prizemoney if he wins.
The Big Mach is coming off an encouraging second last week and trainer-driver David Thorn is confident he has another positive showing in him when he tackles race eight.
“He is suited to the standing starts so I think he will perform well once again this week,” he declared.
“I was very pleased with his effort last week because they ran a really quick time (1:51 mile rate).”
The Big Mach will be raced by Delia F, Alsace L, Michael B, Michael C and Joseph T this Friday. The five Number One Club members will take home $1,350 each if he salutes the judge.
To date, the Number One Club stable has collected over $225,000 in prizemoney which has been distributed to members that have been owners for a day.
And the news doesn't stop there for the Number One Club Stable with Hoss Amor and Rule Number One nominated to compete this weekend for Randwick trainer, John O'Shea.
