Wednesday, 2 May 2012: Exciting three-year-old Trump became the first stakeswinner for his young sire Written Tycoon when he recorded an exciting win in the G3 Gunsynd Classic at Eagle Farm on Wednesday.

One of the rising talents among three-year-olds in Brisbane, Trump showed great acceleration over the concluding 200 metres to reel in Goldslick and win by a long neck.

The win was the second in feature races on the day for trainer Rob Heathcote following the success of Buffering in a $100,000 sprint earlier in the day.

Trump , purchased by his original trainer David Payne for $45,000 at the 2010 Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale, has now won his connections over $190,000 from 13 starts for four wins and three minor placings.

A graduate himself of the Gold Coast Yearling Sale, Written Tycoon won the G2 Todman Slipper Trial Stakes before being retired to stud in Victoria.

He has hit the ground running as a sire and was last season's Champion First Season Sire of Australia. With his oldest progeny just three he already has 26 individual winners.

His other stakes performers include Masthead, Prestigious Miss, Alezan Thunder, Anelene, Gaps in Me Knees, Written Consent and Andre Roo Hoo.

Trump is from the twice winning Black Minnaloushe mare Queenie, a half sister to the stakes performer Amarantha.

Queenie's dam Palace Bound is a half sister to three stakes performers including former champion racemare and proven producer Flitter.
