Early Fixed Odds movers – Harness Jewels
Fixed Odds betting for Saturday's Harness Jewels meeting from Cambridge is up and running. TAB Sportsbet opened up markets on the Jewels last Monday and already some customers have jumped in early to take advantage of some generous prices. In the 2YO Emerald, Mark Purdon and Grant Payne's Border Control has come in for good support. Opening up at $11, one customer snapped up a juicy price by outlaying $1,000 @ $10 on the son of Bettor's Delight. He is now into $6.50. Thanesan, from the powerful Anthony Butt stable, has firmed from $3.50 into $3.00 in the 4YO Ruby while Onlyforyou is $6 into $4.80 to take out the 2YO Diamond. The entire nine-race card will be shown on Sky Racing2 with coverage commencing at 10am.
Two-pronged attack for Number One Club stable
The Number One Club stable will be launching a two-pronged attack on the John Georgantzakos Pace (1609 metres) this Saturday night at Tabcorp Park Menangle. The stable has Numberone Amenophis and The Big Mach engaged, however, the pair have come up with the two outside barriers (nine and 10 respectively). Both pacers have been racing in consistent fashion of late and are given solid chances in an open affair. Their 10 Number One Club owners for the day are set to share in over $8,300 in prize winnings. Every time one of the stable hits the track, five Number One Club members are chosen to be its owners for a day. As well as experiencing all the benefits an owner would, they also get a share in some of the prize winnings! To date there has been over $232,000 in winnings that have been distributed to members that have been owners for a day.
