ROSEHILL SATURDAY
RACE 3: (3) EMBARK – Honest filly should be at her peak for this suitable assignment after two close second placings over this course and distance since resuming when bshe ahs proved mopre capable of handling seriously rain affected going. She went out for a spell in December with a strong win over 1300m at this course and with the advantage of a 1.5kg claim for her new rider Josh Adams she ticks a lot of boxes in this field, having never been out of the placings in her four Rosehill starts.
RACE 6: (8) IDEAL POSITION – Promising country-trained gelding came off an unlucky fourth in a strong Scone Cup to make an impression at his city debut with a strong win over 1400m at Rosehill on June 9 when he was far too good for his rivals on a slow track, . He's now won four of his last five starts and eight from 15 overall and with scope for more improvement he looks capable of measuring up to this black type company under favourable conditions. He will be excellent each-way value in an open race.
RACE 8: (8) PECK – Two trials and two strong closing efforts over 1400m and 1900m since resuming should have this gelding ready to produce his best with the expected improvement from his last start third to stablemate Euryale over this course and distance in very heavy ground when the backmarkers really faced a task. He has been costly in the past but looks to be in the right form to go on from his last start.
