"We are delighted by the extent to which Australasian breeders have shown a willingness to support
So You Think
with their very best mares," said
Coolmore's Tom Magnier.
"He's set to join us for the breeding season in the spring with an impeccable set of credentials for a young sire.
"He's a son of a fabulous stallion in
High Chaparral
, who himself sired a remarkable four individual G1 winners from his first crop.
"He's a wonderful sire and
So You Think is his best son and is in fact higher rated by
Timeform
than
High Chaparral."
The list of quality producers set to be covered by the horse that is universally regarded as the best Australasian colt to retire to stud in recent times includes the dams of G1 winners Yosei, Maldivian, Shocking, Southern Speed, Eremein, Irish Lights and Gold Edition.
Others include No Evidence Needed, Steps In Time, Military Rose, Galileo's Galaxy, Heidilicious, Face Value and Awesome Planet.
Part owner Dato Tan Chin Nam, in whose colours
So You Think so famously established his champion status, will support his charge with a plethora of quality race mares and producers which includes G1 winning pair Faint Perfume and Dariana.
Other high class racemares booked for a date with
So You Think include Danni Martine, Nova Star, Merlene, Florentina, Eskimo Queen, Magical Miss, Bird Of Fire and Zagalia.
'We consider it a huge endorsement of
So You Think that so many top class breeders are supporting him in such quantity with such fantastic mares," said Magnier.
"We have tremendous faith in him as he has everything we look for in a sire.
"He's just a brilliant racehorse and a magnificent specimen, but most importantly for many breeders he's going to serve as a wonderful outcross to the Danehill line.
"He was very impressive at Royal Ascot. He travelled like the best horse in the race and his acceleration was a joy to behold.
"To win ten Group One races is a testament to not only his brilliance, but also his iron constitution and we'll look forward to the Eclipse with great anticipation."
So You Think is set to join the roster at
Coolmore Australia this spring on an advertised fee of $66,000.
