Saturday, 30 June 2012: A clever punter landed a $100,000 Rosehill Quaddie dividend on Saturday for a $9 outlay.
The TAB Sportsbet customer is celebrating after securing 300% of the $33,322 dividend after standing out the first three winners of the Quaddie while selecting Lethal Arrow, Slick Sniper and Peck in the final leg.
Al's Gold, Malavio, Kirinata and Lethal Arrow were the horses that saluted in the Quaddie legs (races 5-8) with three of the four winners paying double figure odds.
TAB Sportsbet guaranteed that the Rosehill Quaddie pool on the NSW TAB would reach $500,000.
Not only did it reach the mark with eight minutes of betting time remaining, it almost hit $700,000.
The final pool total for the Rosehill Quaddie was $687,271.
A big dividend was assured when no favourites saluted in any of the legs.
The feature race at Rosehill, the Listed Civic Stakes, was a spirited betting affair with big money for several runners including the winners Malavio, Famous Seamus and Think Mink.
Malavio, who firmed to $6, landed an early bet of $1000 @ $9.50 while bets lost included $6,000 @ $6.00 on Famous Seamus and $4,000 @ $9.00 on Think Mink.
