Sunday, 1 July 2012: After the excitement of Derby Day there are some good follow-ups on Sunday's card.
The first of the Group races is the G3 Grangecon for 2yo over 1200m, with 8 runners. True Verdict is odds on at 4/5 but the going is a test for most of these babies and if you want to oppose try Slope on 8/1 or Boston Rocket 10/1.
The Friarstown International is G3 over 2000m and Dermot Weld's Famous Name is 4/6. Native Khan is having his first outing for some time and 11/8 looks skinny in these circumstances and we prefer to go very wide and add Bob Le Beau, 25/1.
The Pretty Polly is for the 3yo fillies over 2000m and is headed by the Epsom Oaks winner Was at 2/1. Maybe didn't run at Ascot and comes into this on 3/1, with Izzi Top also on that quote, and our preference.
Then there's the Curragh Cup G3 where Fame And Glory should rule with Mount Athos and Midnight Soprano the attendants.
