Thursday, 5 July 2012: Last year's Melbourne Cup runner-up, Red Cadeaux, has already come in for good support in this year's race.
Even though the Melbourne Cup won't be held until the first Tuesday in November, one TAB Sportsbet punter believes Red Cadeaux can go one better than his effort last year with a bet of $3000 @ $26 for a potential $78,000 collect.
