Monday, 16 July 2012: At Sha Tin's closing meeting of the 2011/12 Ambitious Dragon was again named Horse of the Year.

John Size won the Trainers' Championship for the 7th time and Douglas Whyte took out the Jockeys' championship for the 12th consecutive year.
Little Bridge got the champion sprinter and the Most Popular prize, Ben So the apprentices, and Glorious Days the most improved, with Sacred Kingdom and Able One getting lifetime achievement awards.
On the track Silver Grecian continued his good run to win the HK Racehorse Owners' Association Trophy. Majestic Falcon was third and Keen Wongchoy third.
The final race, the Sha Tin Mile, went to Dan Excel from Familists and the roughie Supreme Win.
