Thursday, 26 July 2012: Last Sunday's Hobart winners Turbo Qui and The Cleaner are heading to Melbourne for their next starts.
Think Pink Cup winner Turbo Qui and The Cleaner, the best winter stayer in Tasmania, are set to have their next starts at Moonee Valley on August 4.
Trainer Michael Voss is confident Turbo Qui is ready to return to better company in Melbourne.
"He's really enjoying his racing at the moment and he loves soft conditions," Voss said after Turbo Qui recorded the eighth win of his 38-start career.
Turbo Qui won at Elwick in May before tackling two races interstate that resulted in a luckless third at Caulfield prior to returning to Tasmania.
Turbo Qui completed a double for Voss after his lightly raced three-year-old filly Top End Of Town returned to racing in style with an emphatic maiden win over 1100m.
The Cleaner, trained by Mick Burles, made light work of his 59kg handicap to lead all the way over 2100m.
Burles said The Cleaner would now head to Melbourne and contest a $100,000 handicap over 2040m on August 4.
