WARWICK FARM SATURDAY
RACE 1: (5) KUHREIHEN: Happy to give this colt another chance after nothing worked out for him last start when a game third over 1400m at Rosehill when he was the unexpected leader and overaced after intended change of tactics didn't go to plan. Found the line strongly in his two prior runs after resuming and has the weights in his favour meeting Australian Star 3kg better from their last start clash. Expect to see him ridden more patiently with cover from the inside gate on his home track.
RACE 3: (4) REX IS A STAR: Gai Waterhouse has had a great season with her two-year-olds and this strongly-bred Encosta de Lago filly appeals as one of her late bloomers. Ran right up to her excellent trial wins when she resumed with an excellent midweek win over 1100m at Canterbury in heavy going, showing an impressive turn of foot to charge through the line after being help up for clear running. She can only improve and appeals as the better gamble over her stablemate Sherocksmyworld with a 4kg pull in the weights.
RACE 8: (12) I GET AROUND: Typical Snitzel speedster faces a jump from provincial company but will be hard to catch over this short course on the limit weight after big wins on affected tracks at his last two starts at Newcastle and Wyong in better than average times for the class and conditions by a combine margins of more than 13 lengths. He has only had the five starts and if he continues his rate of improvement will have the better of a field lacking depth.
