Tuesday, 31 July 2012: We suggested following Dermot Weld at Galway and sure enough his Midnight Music won the feature at 11/1.
That was in the Carlton Hotel Handicap over 3200m. Cry for the Moon ran second, and favourite Clarach third. For those of you able to bet in Europe fourth home was one of our roughies Scots Gaelic at 20/1, and last year's winner Fosters Cross was 6th.
Tuesday's feature is the Topaz Mile EBF Handicap over 1700m with 16 runners. Weld saddled the winner of this last year and this time he's got Rock Critic, currently on 6/1 and holding the call. Custom Cut has been racing well but is up a huge amount in weight and he and Pintura are on 7/1, with Vastonea on 8/1.
Wednesday's feature the Galway Plate Steeplechase has still got 42 runners in the field so we will have to try and look at that later, flying horsebox permitting,
