Tuesday, 31 July 2012: Unfortunately the weather may not be all that glorious but the racing looks fantastic, with much enthusiasm for Frankel's defence of the Sussex Stakes on Wednesday.
Tuesday's highlights start with the Gordon Stakes G3 for 2yos over 2400 with 7 to run. Michelago for the very inform team of Gosden-Buick is on 6/4, German raider Girolamo for Peter Schiergen with Andrasch Starke riding (the Danedream team) is 3/1 and Noble Mission 4/1.
The Lennox Stakes G2 for 3yos over 1400m and 7 to run. Foxtrot Romeo ran nicely recently and is on 11/4, ditto Chachamaidee on 7/2, but we are going with Libranno for the Richards at 4/1.
The Molecom is G3 for the 2yos over 1000m with a field of 12. We don't know a lot about these, but the market has Morawij on 3/1, Jadanna 5/1, Hototo 11/2 and Dylanbaru 8/1. We suggest watch the betting.
Wednesday of course sees Frankel in the Sussex Stakes. The field has now come down to 4 runners one of which is Frankel's pacemaker Bullet Train at 150/1. Frankel is 1/20! Farrh is 8/1 and Gabriel 50/1.
The Vintage Stakes G2 for 2yos over 1400m has the appropriately named Olympic Glory on 11/4, Birdman 3/1 and Ghurair 9/2.
