Thursday, 2 August 2012: The Australian Turf Club is celebrating the horse's birthday this week by offering free entry to the races at Canterbury Park this Saturday, 4 August.
The Canterbury BMW Race Day will also feature free birthday cake for all patrons on course.
The meeting is the first Saturday of the new racing season and with the 2011/2012 Premierships wrapped up convincingly, all eyes will be on trainer Chris Waller, jockey Hugh Bowman and apprentice jockey Chad Schofield to see if they can continue their form.
The build up to the Group 1 $1Million De Bortoli Wines Golden Rose gets serious when the three-year-olds make their season debuts in the Inglis Bonus Handicap. The 1200m test extends a $148,000 first prize pool to all eligible Inglis Race Series horses, making it the richest race in Australia next weekend.
The eight-race program will also be contested by a number of horses making their return from the spelling yard in preparation for their spring campaign.
