All Too Hard heads trial entries

Thursday, 2 August 2012:

Black Caviar's half brother All Too Hard will step up his spring carnival preparations with a barrier trial at Rosehill on Friday.

The exciting colt, owned by Nathan Tinkler, won three of his four starts as a juvenile with his only defeat coming at the hands of Pierro in the Group One Sires' Produce Stakes at Randwick.

Rodney Quinn will warm the saddle for All Too Hard's regular race rider, the Victorian-based Dwayne Dunn, who will be back aboard when the Team Hawkes' three-year-old resumes.

"I think he's going to kick off in Sydney for his first couple of runs. They haven't given me a map of his program yet but I will endeavour to go wherever he races to ride him," Dunn said.

"I think the king pin race will be the Caulfield Guineas. I think that will be the number one mission this campaign."

Dunn has been aboard All Too Hard in all four runs and says despite his headline-grabbing pedigree, the colt exceeded expectations at his initial campaign.

"We didn't expect so much from him as a two-year-old. For him to do what he did was above our expectations," Dunn said.

"I know he has a lot of pressure on him due to who he's related to but we didn't expect him to put his hand up and be that good that early.

"If he progresses like we think he will he should be the real deal."

All Too Hard will have six rivals in his 900m heat including the Gerald Ryan-trained Golden Slipper runner-up Snitzerland and her stablemate Cavalry Rose.

Group One winner Manawanui will make his first public appearance since a lukewarm autumn campaign which trainer Ron Leemon aborted after three runs.

His regular jockey Glyn Schofield has been aboard the four-year-old in trackwork and reported him to have returned in top shape.

Other notable trial runners include Satin Shoes for Clarry Conners, the Chris Waller-trained Danleigh and Lamasery who is on the comeback trail for David Vandyke.

Onemorenomore raced until he was almost 4 years of age.. Placed in the George main I think it was as a 3 year old and then they tried him as a stayer which failed.. Apparently stumbled and landed on his knees which forced his premature retirement.Get your facts right before you make a statement. ”

Very surprised Tinkler & The Gang hasn''t decided to put ALL TO HARD to stud as a 2yr Old Stallion like they did with ONEMORENOMORE.... why would you risk it??? ”
