The race was reduced to six runners after Harris Tweed was withdrawn. Brown Panther chased the winner but could not catch him, with Modun the third home.
The Hungerford Stakes was a complete boilover when Lethal Force 25/1 stole a march on the field and while Strong Suit finished off well it was too late. Alanza was third, Chachamaidee was scratched.
