: The NSW TAB will close down the original "Net TAB" betting website on Sunday March 5.
From Sunday the NSW TAB will rely totally on its new internet betting engine to provide betting access for internet wagering customers.
The NSW TAB has run both the old and new sites in parallel for the last 12 months, giving account holders personal choice while the new site underwent continual improvements.
"The time has now come to turn the NetTAB engine off as it can no longer be technologically supported and switch all remaining customers to the new site," said TAB spokesman Peter Fletcher.
"Some customers will not be happy with this move as they are used to the old site and will not want to change.
"However the new site does have significant advantages both in the form of new customer services with extra inbuilt security standards and "processing" capacity.
"This means we can handle more customers and more transactions without delaying or crashing the system.
A major features of the new TAB site is automatic customer access to video streaming of live Sky Channel coverage of racing event and express betting for faster placement and processing of muliple bets, including customer-selected "betting string" formats..
The site also offers multi-language capability (ie.simplified Chinese, traditional Chinese, Spanish and Japanese) and muli-currency conversion capability (including: US dollars, UK Pounds Sterling, Euros, HK dollars, Japanese Yen, etc)
Customers logging on from Monday will automatically be directed to the new site . They will no longer be able to request a diversion to the old system.NSW TAB

i agree with Pegasus - some wizz kid has had a brain explosion & the rest of the customers have to suffer i think my days of punting with nsw tab
are over, thinking of punting on the QLD tab which
seems more friedlier with their site.

Only one word describes the TAB website - dysfunctional!
Why get rid of the old site that so many people still like and want to use???

TAB management seem to live in a parallel universe. It''s a shocker for all the reasons mentioned here and more. They have obviously spent a squillion on it and aren''t willing to acknowledge its severe limitations. They are giving customers the two fingered salute ... and that''s what I have done to them. ”

From the best site, now the worst. Page takes forever to load and does not even fit fully in the screen.
we have 3 punters clubs through nswtab. next year we are changing betting companies to one with easier website and free bet options. ”
