The Jake Stephens-trained gelding coped well with the 19 hour float ride to Berry and aside from arriving to plenty of rain has settled in well.

The lightly-raced five-year-old was unbeaten in his first four starts on the spring, including the Group 2 Herbert Power Stakes, before finishing sixth in the Melbourne Cup.

The autumn campaign of Alcopop  will begin on Saturday week in the Apollo Stakes at Rosehill before moving to the Chipping Norton Stakes (1600m), Ranvet Stakes (2000m) and The BMW (2400m).
