Sunday, 15 July 2012: The Hong Kong 2011/12 racing season will draw to a close this afternoon but already John Size is going to take out the trainers' championship for a 7th time.
Races 9 and 11 are the highlights of the program unless you are after the triple trio, which has an HK$8 million jackpot. Also today apart from the jockey's parade at the end of racing Sacred Kingdom and Able One will be given special awards.
Douglas Whyte is still out injured after the accident last week.
So, the Hong Kong Racehores Owners Association Trophy is Class 2 with current favourite Jun Gong on 3.5. and should be included as Zac Purton is riding it, although he has great form on outsiders. We basically like Silver Grecian here on 5.2, Adoration on 9.2, Majestic Falcon 7.5 and Keen Wongchoy on 7.4. Will probably have to take something out but will wait till we see how the track is behaving.
The last race of the season is ths Sha Tin Mile where we like Real Specialist to continue his winning ways. He's 3.7 Smart Giant is 5.9, Let Me Handle It 10.0, and Familists 15.0.
The Horse of the Year will be announced at the meeting and we wish everyone at the HKJC a very pleasant break and look forward to the new season.
