Sunday, 29 July 2012: As he had been doing so well since his Derby win, trainer Desmond Koh thought he should try the Chairman's Trophy G2 at Kranji Sunday.
It proved a worth while decision as Chase Me came through and was too quick for Flying Fulton, who ran a very good race in second, with Waikato getting another nice pay cheque in third, and El Dorado who was first up from a break did well to finish fourth. No 8 lengths margin this time for Chase Me but a very nice win and up against some top opposition.
Earlier Leticia Dragon got her first group winner as a trainer when Rising Empire won the Magic Millions Juvenile Championship for the 2yo. He was in a great fight to the finish with Holy Empire and there was very little in it at the end. Super Good was third and Pit Stop fourth. Super Kenny went off favourite but was soon swallowed up by the field. One incident early in the race when Philanthropist and his jockey went separate ways but fortunately no major injuries with either.
