Message: Yesterday’s tip deserved an entry in the steward’s report:
RACE 3 – Handicap 1200m ..Lightning Glance, which required plating to its near fore leg, was examined by the club's veterinary surgeon prior to the race and passed fit to start. When questioned regarding the disappointing performance of Lightning Glance, apprentice T Angland stated that whilst the early tempo was genuine Lightning Glance never appeared to travel comfortably on the bit at any stage during the event and when placed under pressure rounding the home turn failed to respond to his riding and proved most disappointing in the straight. A post race veterinary examination of Lighning Glance did not reveal any abnormalities…
