Author: roadtoriches Timestamp:- 17/4/2007 11:34:34 AM Subject: Aust Horses sold overseas... Message: Anyone with information on how to track Australian horses that had been sold overseas and also had the name changed ?
For example: Genius N Evil sold to HK and racing as Absolute Champion
Thanks to anyone with info! | | Post a reply to this message. |

Message: going on the times of TT's final asian start and the time ab champ ran (granted that they were different tracks) it would've been a great race, but watching the race it would've taken the very best of T.T to beat ab champ on that day as he was flying.
Bear in mind Green Birdie didn't win the strongest race. | | Post a reply to this message. |

Casper would have to had found 6-7 lengths quick though to be near GE, and therefore miss andretti, magnus, bentley biscuit and TT.
Would have been interesting to see TT against Absolute Champion to get a better gauge i suppose.
Cheers

How good was Genius and Evil when it raced here? It is now the highest rating sprinter in the world. Maybe Casper Fownes will get more out of Green Birdie than Brian Jenkins did, just as it appears that David Hall has got more out of Absolute Champion than Steve Englebrecht did. | | Post a reply to this message. |

Grey, think he was a Hawkes galloper by Quest For Fame. I'm pretty sure he went to HK. | | Post a reply to this message. |

Did show some very good ability early on in Perth as a a 2yo | | Post a reply to this message. |
Author: bradmcmanus Timestamp:- 18/4/2007 3:01:50 PM Subject: Re: Aust Horses sold overseas... Message: dont forget Downtown (ex - Hantu) former gun 2yo in Perth trained by George Daly is in the top three 1200-1400m horses in Hong Kong, tough, consistent and easy to spot as he is a ghostly grey.
He's a seriously good horse which would be one of the main reasons (along with Vengeance of Rain) why our horses continue to get snapped up when they show something in Oz.
Another - Toms Six (ex Manjar - very good Perth horse) but seemingly has struggled to adapt
Many of them struggle to adapt but the ones that do are a real blessing to the industry. | | Post a reply to this message. |

Author: roadtoriches Timestamp:- 18/4/2007 12:34:13 AM Subject: Re: Aust Horses sold overseas... Message: Thanks guys,
that AlphaMail (ex Wasp) raced against Leading Ahead (ex EgoManiac) on Saturday, won by LeadingAhead.
I noticed some of the older AUS horses still racing there include KingHogan, SirErnesto, WellNoted, plus Ambulance (cant recall his new name), Dr Green, and some newer ones include RoyalDelight (ex WarOfTheWorlds) and DownTheWicket and StarOfLuis, both of whom probably have new names. I think AbleOne was also ex Aust horse. | | Post a reply to this message. |
