Not a bad week for the Aussie breds- outside of the States the Aussie breds won the two biggest races in the world on the flat.

What a great win.

I was at the track and unfortunately Kennilworth has terrible angles for the on track patron.

She was in all sorts half way up the straight and showed the heart of a champion to lift in the last furlong.

Galileo has sired a fair few mediocre horses from blueblood mares but by God when he gets a good one they are truly exceptional. That was an awesome win!

Cheers BB, it was an amazing 15 minutes of racing, straight after So You Think winning and the next race was Igugu's, it was in my opinion one of the greatest two moments all year.

Two very tough wins, Igugu surely silences her critics now after stepping in the deep end and fighting them all off, tough win, incredibly brilliant and patient ride by Delpeche, man I cheered her home and was hoarse for a bit after it.

A beauty of a nights racing, truly was, I have to admit to taking slightly more joy from Igugu's, been following her from day one over there, an English work colleage of mine agreed about two starts ago she was a Dubai canditate, her Durban July win proves she deserves her chance to win in front of Mo..!

If anyone missed watching this great win, track a link somewhere and give it look, tough filly doing what most her age can't do against hardened open company.

The crowd at the meet was around the 55k I believe BB, they get a huge crowd at their premier meet like this every year, it's quickly become one of my fav international meets to watch since we have been lucky enough to be able watch internationals via SKY the last few years.

Jeez Quez that was a helluva win. On the pace and just kept giving for Delpech. Dubai is definitely calling her.

Count, give yourself an uppercut. Unlike others on here, Quez recycles the posts.

Looked a super day of racing at Greyville. Anyone know the crowd figure from the day? It looked chockers.

BB

Haha, good one Quez, always a good idea when giving out a tip to know just where the tip is running. LOL

You have no idea.

Beginning to think that you and LostaClue might have been seperated at birth.

Joe the original post was in April when she raced at Turfontein, I just hit the original thread again instead of making a new one.

She's a mighty little horse, she has an amazing head on her, really bad action and her coat looked awful after being clipped, but as they say, looks don't win race's, ticker does.

Nice one Quez,
pretty sure she went round at Greyville but nonetheless, i couldnt have her first go out of fillies grade. Specked The Apache Ew out of interest.
Live and learn....

She takes on the boys tonight in South Africa's biggest race, the Durban July

She's not that well weighted at 55kgs, she carried 58 against her own age and sex, this is an open class G1, not an ideal barrier either in 10, over a staying trip, but barriers aren't as big a deal over there compared to tight turning Aussie tracks.

I'm gunna tip her to win though and, have will have something on her if gets out to $3.00 which I think she might as everyone seems to want to lay her.

An open class Group1, this is her big acid test, hope she do it and silence the knockers, there's a few here I know who don't rate her, but let us see huh.

Again.. "go Igugu" you mighty little girl.

Stand her out to win trifecta
Event: Races - GREYVILLE (ZAF)
Race 07 - 03/07/11 12:20 AM
VODACOM DURBAN JULY
Selections:
9 IGUGU
Field
Field
Bet Type: Trifecta
Flexi Percentage: 50%
Bet Amount:
$153.00
Total Cost:
$153.00

It's also the first leg of the quaddie, if you can find the quaddie there tonight you will celebrating BIG time, it's as tuff a quaddie as I've ever seen.
