Betstar Launches Footy Tipping Competition

Thursday, 12 March 2009: Footy tipping is back at BETSTAR in 2009 and after a great pre season, it's bigger and better than ever before – with a total prize pool on AFL and NRL competitions upped to a massive $95,000, including two trips to Vegas..

Back Yourself to win, and you and 4 mates could be off to tear it up in Vegas, with 2 trips staying at the luxurious five star Wynn Hotel to give away, which is the least you can do for them, after publicly kicking their arse at tipping all season long.

Alan Eskander, Managing Director of BETSTAR said “This year's competition is massive, the prizes are all about winning an awesome experience rather than just offering cash or free bets, which are all done to death and boring. Imagine heading to Vegas with 4 of your best mates, it will be a trip of a lifetime – I want to go!”

And even if you do something dumb (like tip Freo to win away) and let top spot slip. . . don't worry: we've got some awesome runner up prizes, including Grand Final packages for you and a mate, plasma TV's and BBQ meat packs, which would officially make you The Man on Grand Final day.

There are great weekly prizes for the best footy tipper and if your tipping still has you beaten by that hot Swedish chick who's temping in the next office; we've got a last –place prize: a club membership to the club of your choice, plus a wooden spoon with your name on it

“Both competitions are free to enter and we take care of all the admin, you'd be mad not to enter and give it a crack” says Eskander.
