TAB Sportsbet Takes Big Bet On Cowboys

Tuesday, 17 March 2009: An ultra keen North Queensland Cowboys supporter was evidently impressed with their efforts against Brisbane on Friday night because this afternoon they placed $50,000 on them to take the 2009 NRL Premiership.

If the Cowboys can take their first NRL title since entering the competition in 1995 the customer will pocket a cool $600,000.

This wager continues the run of large bets placed by TAB Sportsbet customers on the 2009 competition including $45,000 @ $23 on Newcastle and $20,000 @ $23 on Gold Coast.

Other interesting premiership wagers taken so far this week include $5000 @ $21 on Bulldogs and $3000 @ $9 on Warriors.
