Saturday, 18 July 2009: A starring hand from England captain Andrew Strauss and some wayward Australian bowling has provided Betfair punters with extraordinary value on day one the second Ashes test at Lords.
Starting the day at better than $5 to claim first blood in the Ashes series, England dominated the Australian attack to reach 1-222, at which point they were backed at a low price of $3.50 in Betfair's dynamic in-play market.
