Wednesday, 4 July 2012:

Alex Ferguson has blasted French teenager Paul Pogba for being disrespectful in leaving Manchester United for Juventus.

Ferguson has announced the midfielder's departure on Manchester United TV, adding: "Pogba signed for Juventus a long time ago as far as we're aware."

Pogba, 19, was considered one of the best talents to come out of United's academy lately, but he rejected all offers of a new deal with the club last season.

"(It) is disappointing. I don't think he showed us any respect at all, to be honest," Ferguson said.

"I'm quite happy that if they carry on that way, they're probably better doing it away from us."

Pogba made seven first-team appearances for United last season, all as a substitute.

He's the second highly rated young player to leave the club this year: Ravel Morrison was released to join West Ham in January.
