Tuesday, 24 July 2012:
The Adelaide 36ers have signed former Gold Coast Blaze forward Anthony Petrie for the next two NBL seasons.
Petrie comes to Adelaide following the demise of the Blaze as an NBL franchise.
The 203cm big man averaged 10.4 points and 5.7 rebounds a game for the Gold Coast last season.
He met his teammates on Tuesday as the side began pre-season training and will join them for a five-game series in China in September.
Adelaide 36ers chief executive Leeanne Grantham said Petrie had a reputation throughout the NBL as a hard worker who could score from both inside and outside the key.
She said the club would now turn its attention to filling the remaining spots on its roster for the 2012-13 season.
