Adelaide signs Gibson for NBL season

The Adelaide 36ers have signed Olympian Adam Gibson for the upcoming NBL season.

Gibson is currently in London with the Boomers and will begin training in Adelaide on August 20.

His contract includes an option for a second season.

Gibson averaged 11.4 points a game and 4.2 rebounds for the Gold Coast Blaze in the NBL last season.

Adelaide chief executive Leeanne Grantham said Gibson was an aggressive player who demanded attention in offence.

"He is the type of player who will take control and finish off those close games we know the team will experience," Grantham said.
