Thursday, 9 August 2012:

Young Australian goalkeeper Mathew Ryan remains hopeful of landing a deal with English Premier League club Tottenham as he nears the end of a week-long trial.

Named A-League keeper of the season for 2011-12, the Central Coast Mariner has further trials with West Bromwich Albion and Wigan Athletic to come after he concludes his time with Spurs on Friday.

"Mat has done well this week at Spurs and the feedback he has received has been very positive," Ryan's agent Warren Craig told AAP.

"His trial will finish tomorrow and then we will discuss with the club if they wish to take things further."

The 20-year-old will leave London to head to the midlands for his trial with West Brom before the last stop in England's north-west at Wigan.

Barring a deal being completed before Ryan departs, the youngster will return for pre-season training at the Mariners where he still has a year to run on his contract.
