As much as $10 could be secured late on Friday and still $8.50 on Saturday morning but by the time the race rolled around Hogmanay Horseform was into $5.50 and second favourite behind Unbiased Horseform ($5-$4.80).

Asinara Horseform ($7.50) had support as did Romneys Choice ($16-$9.50).

Unbiased held the most money of the runners with bets on it accounting for 40 percent of the market.

Bets: Hogmanay $1,000 @ $5.50

Snoopy Horseform had very good backing late and the money proved to be spot on in the seventh event.

Backed from $4.20 into $4 in the final stages of betting, Snoopy was taken to the front from the outside barrier by jockey Tommy Berry and dictated terms.

With popular elect Moher Horseform ($2.70-$3-$3.50) doing a stack of work outside the leader, Snoopy kicked away at the 300 metres to hold off the fast-finishing pair of Unequivocal Horseform ($18) and Wine Tales Horseform ($21-$14).

Moher, which was responsible for nearly half of all bets, weakened in the straight and was unplaced.

Bets: Snoopy $1,500 @ $4.20, $1,500 x $2,000 e/w @ $4.60/$1.72

Upscale.

Upscale Horseform defied a betting drift to lead throughout in the final event at Rosehill.

Getting out in the market from $3.20 to $4.20 thanks to the big support for Firsthand Horseform ($3.70-$3.20), Upscale was never in danger of defeat.

Secret Trail Horseform ($8.50-$7.50-$6) finished off the race nicely from the rear while Firsthand wound up third after sitting in the one-one for most of the trip.

Bets on Firsthand accounted for just over 33 percent of the market, while Upscale was the best supported outside the favourite and held 22 percent.

Bets: Upscale $2,500 @ $3.50 multiple times; Firsthand $5,000 @ $3.50, $5,500 @ $3.30.

At Moonee Valley Black Sheep Horseform was the best backed runner on the card and landed the money.

With $3.70 on offer in the morning, it was crunched into $2.50 by jump time off the back of a total hold of 72 percent total hold in the market.

Flying Light Horseform, which was $5-$4, was the only one seriously tried to beat the favourite but held 10 percent of what the winner did.

Bets: Black Sheep, $15,000 @ $1.46 place, $10,000 @ $1.44 place, $3,000 @ $2.60, $4,000 @ $2.50

Wise Hero.

Wise Hero Horseform was one of the best backed runners of the day and landed a big plunge.

With $4.20 still on offer last yesterday and $3.50 available this morning, punters continued to line up in their droves to crunch it into $2.70.

Holding 33 percent of the total investment, Wise Hero sat outside the leader but was too strong in beating What A Shock Horseform ($14-$31).

Of the others, Styleman Horseform ($10-$14-$9) was tried late and grabbed third while Widgee Turf Horseform ($6), best backed to beat the fave, was luckless and just behind them.

Bets: Wise Hero $5,000 @ $2.70

Shakespearean Lass.

Stellar Collision Horseform was one of the best tried runners in Sydney and Melbourne all day, however, after being back in the field and wide was absolutely luckless.

Shakespearean Lass Horseform ($21-$26-$31) had a nice run just off speed before getting out into clear air and finishing over the top of Sunday Escape Horseform ($41) and Runsati Horseform ($21).

Stellar Collision was smashed on the home turn and finished at the rear of the field. Bets on it accounted for well over 50 percent of the total investment.

Bets: Stellar Collision $6,800 @ $2.60
