POST RACE HORSE REPORTS - April 1-12
Post race stewards reports from recent NSW and Victorian meetings.
WARWICK FARM – April 5
RACE 7: Medlyn – co-trainer Mr A Bott reported that on return to the stables the gelding underwent a full veterinary examination, including an endoscopic examination, which revealed no abnormalities. Mr Bott advised it is the intention to continue on with Medlyn's preparation.
RANDWICK – April 1
Race 4: Pelerin – Racing NSW stewards received notification from the Randwick Equine Centre that the gelding had sustained a deep laceration over the near-hind fetlock, whereby there was a transection of the digital flexor tendon sheath. After consultation with the owner of Pelerin, the gelding was euthanased on April 2.
PAKENHAM April 6
RACE 4: Awaayed - trainer Sharyn Peters advised that the mare had pulled up well and will be continuing on with her preparation.
CRANBOURNE April 7
RACE 1: Diaochan - co-trainer David Hayes advised that the filly has pulled up well and the plan is to continue on with its preparation and the stable may consider a gear change.
RACE 7: Peninsula Boy - trainer Lisa Enright advised that the gelding had pulled up well however would now be sent for a spell.
CAULFIELD April 8
RACE 2: Use The Lot - trainer Tim Hughes advised that the gelding pulled up well and will be continuing on with its preparation.
TERANG April 9
RACE 1: Touch Of Faith - trainer John Salanitri advised that the colt had pulled up well and would now spelled.
ECHUCA April 9
RACE 3: Bel Sands - trainer Wayne Nichols advised that the mare had pulled up well and will be continuing on.
STONY CREEK April 10
RACE 1: Who Be You - trainer John McArdle reported that the gelding had pulled up well and will be continuing on.
BENDIGO April 11
RACE 5: Ceylon - co-trainer Trent Busuttin reported that the filly had pulled up well and that it was now the stables intention to continue on with the current preparation.
BALLARAT April 12
RACE 2: The Bont - trainer Shay Keating reported that the gelding had pulled up well though had not eaten up overnight and that she would be reassessing the preparation in the forthcoming days.
