RACE 9: Twist Tops – trainer Kris Lees stated it was the intention, as advised to the Stewards at its previous start at Warwick Farm, for the filly to be ridden in a forward position, however due to the circumstances of the race, Twist Tops settled midfield. He said, similarly, in this event the intention was to race prominently and in the early stages when it appeared that the filly could be caught wide the rider was more positive, and in order to compensate for this factor, he ultimately had Twist Tops setting a genuine tempo in the lead.
