Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays for Australian TAB meetings on July 8.

Grafton: Race 4 @ 2.30pm

JAKUTA wasn't the best away last time and settled a little further back than normal. Ran on well and finished third. Suited by the longer trip here and from a nice draw will take running down. FLINDERS DRAGON is a last start winner over six furlongs and can only be fitter. Drawn for a good run and hard to hold out this journey. NEW ENDEAVOUR ran a much better race last time and can go on with it. Drawn for all the favours and looks an each way chance. HUMILITY is next best. SELECTIONS: #1 Jakuta is better than latest and can atone..

Nowra: Race 1 @ 12:10pm

Sheoak will boot up from the inside draw. JAYAQUA is dropping back in grade for this. Her form on this circuit speaks for itself and with the blinkers applied this afternoon looks a strong chance. ZUZZUDIO is honest. Finished in the minor money on the Acton track her past couple. Well suited after the claim and the horse has proven effective on wet tracks in the past. SHEOAK likes to roll along and could give a sight here. SELECTIONS: #1 Jayaqua to kick us off.

Hobart: Race 4 @ 1:15pm

HUONTEGZ will be right on-speed and brings good form to a peak. Ran favourite the latest and looks the winner. TARA'S DESIGN was tracking okay before getting wide last start on the synthetic. Still learning but expect the rise in trip to suit. UNCOVERED is ex Vic back after 54 days and is better than the form looks. Races handy and watch the market closely. TARA’S DESIGN is also in the mix. SELECTIONS: #4 Huontegz gets his chance for Tegan Keys.

Pakenham: Race 4 @ 1:35pm

MARCHESA is close to breaking through and looks hard to beat here. Wasn't far away latest and drops in grade. Gets chance. RIP GIRL has been thereabouts in two runs this campaign and looks suited by the longer journey. MANY REWARDS is working up to a win and with the low draw here looks a definite each way chance. ROYAL THUNDER is going better than form suggests and rates highly here. KEITH'S PROMISE and ROBBO THE BOLD could sneak into the multiples in moderate race. SELECTIONS: #5 Marchesa is overdue and gets chance.

Port Augusta: Race 7 @ 4:25pm (AEST)

Over this trip they have to settle early. So the City Of Port Augusta Cup is for those up the top. CHESTNUT CHARLIE has run some nice races in town and first time here got up late. He gets the right run to be winning. LA LA LUCHIE can't be knocked given how she has been finishing off. She is bred to be getting every bit of the journey. EIGELSTEIN may be a 10yo but he's still battling hard. He can be placed at this level. SELECTIONS: #1 Chestnut Charlie to win. Save on #3 La La Luchie.

Kalgoorlie: Race 6 @ 5:50pm (AEST)

ANOTHER DEMON was a big first up winner and then was okay at Belmont in much stronger. This looks very suitable getting favours in the run with the handy claim. MYBAK has won two of the last three and did it from back the latest. Improving and will be coming hard again. WOCKNWOLL is also going well and the low gate suits. WINE THIEF may be next best. SELECTIONS: Keen on # 1 Another Demon.
