Con Te Partito (Scat Daddy x Temple Street by Street Cry) was purchased in Kentucky as a future broodmare prospect for Newgate Farm but was put into training with Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott after landing in Australia.

The five-year-old mare won the Listed Sandringham Handicap at Royal Ascot in 2017 for trainer Wesley Ward and had not started since last October.

She was purchased by SF Bloodstock and Newgate Farm for US$575,000 at the Fasig-Tipton Kentucky November Mixed Sale.

Scat Daddy, a huge success in the northern hemisphere before his early death, has had just four runners in Australia.

The late Street Cry also played a big role in the result of the G3 Dark Jewel Classic as he was the dam sire of the winners and two of his daughters finished second and third.

Con Te Partiro Horseform is out of the G1 winner Temple Street, also the dam of Listed winner Donworth (Tiznow) among her four winners.

She descends from the prolific Northern Dancer mare Northern Meteor, dam of G1 winners A Phenomenon and Seattle Meteor.

Her other descendants include G1 winners Pleasant Stage and Changeintheweather.

Temple Street had her unraced 2YO colt by Tiznow sold at the Keeneland September Yearling Sale for $475,000 last year.

Dark Jewel Classic FM , 1400m
Race Synopsis: A Royal Ascot Listed winner two years ago at her only start in England and a Listed winner at Saratoga, Con Te Partiro won well here - her fourth career success on debut in Australia. She began fairly then improved to be a handy fourth, one out, inside the 1200m. She kept in touch and moved up to third nearing the home straight, looked to challenge but was squeezed at the 250m. Balanced, she bullocked her way between runners and finished with great determination to get the decision by a half-neck. Savatiano sat second all the way to the 400m, co-led briefly then took over at the 300m and looked the winner at the 100m but was swamped late. Organza moved up to fifth at the top of the straight, got up to second at the 100m but was outgunned late, while Into The Abyss got going too late to land fourth.
