Cranbourne: Race 7 @ 9:00pm
Speed anticipated from Patient, Alabama Charge, Very Dogmatic, Canalasso and Old Farm Road. LET'S GO TO RIO had genuine excuses at Morphettville last start and was spelled as a result. Drops sharply back from Benchmark 70 level here resuming and appears the one to beat with Dunn to ride. WHAT A SHOCK resuming should find this easier than Flemington. SELECTIONS: #2 Let's Go To Rio straight out from #1.

Muswellbrook: Race 3 @ 1.50pm
SOJOURNIST has displayed good ability in her two starts to this point and now appears set to peak racing third up. Gives the impression she will relish the step up in trip and should prove hard to hold out from the favourable draw. LADY SELKIE wasn't far off the mark during her maiden preparation and remains under strong notice first up. Debutant ROSEITO the next in line despite the awkward draw. SELECTIONS: Keen on #14 Sojournist stepping up in trip from #12 and #13.
Hamilton: Race 6 @ 4pm
BOSS CONI is racing well this campaign, winning his maiden first up before a close third last time. He is continuing to improve with racing and should be better again third up. OUR CHIQUILLA deserved her maiden win last time after a string of good efforts. This is tougher but she looks to have some upside. DIAMOND SPINNER was good when runner up at her resuming run last time and can take another step forward. SELECTIONS: Win bet #3 Boss Coni - he looks capable of racing through his grades from #8 and #6.
Canberra: Race 7 @ 4:05pm
One Son and No Luck Need both vie for the early lead. CRUSADER GENERAL creates strong appeal rising in trip. Came from well back to place in a similar race here resuming last time out. Strips fitter here and looks a strong winning chance given majority of these are yet to be tested in this grade. The jockey’s claim will be utilized to advantage here. WINGS has been around for some time and he lines up here for another preparation. Is a winner first-up and this is a big jump back from what he's been contesting of late. CAB FAIR, ONE SON and ORANGE TIME for the multiples. SELECTIONS: #7 Crusader General is ready to win from #6.
