Race One: SUPREME NOVICES' HURDLE

Assessed prices: Getabird $3.00, Kalashnikov $4.50, Summerville Boy $9.00, Mengli Khan $13.00

Getabird is a rightful favourite for the Mullins yard, who have a terrific record in this race, but there is little edge in his early price. Betting value may lie elsewhere. Summerville Boy defeated Kalashnikov in the Tolworth before he went on to win at Newbury last month. That looks a key form reference with the betting edge with Kalashnikov in current markets.

Race Two: ARKLE CHALLENGE TROPHY NOVICES' CHASE

Assessed prices: Footpad $1.90, Petit Mouchoir $4.00, Saint Calvados $5.50

Footpad was too good for Petit Mouchoir last month at Leopardstown. The win came with a fair bit of authority and the prices here look like being much the same. Saint Calvados has big upside off win win last time and can measure up here but early betting might be overplaying his challenge somewhat with the form of the other pair preferred in a hot little race.

Race Four: CHAMPION HURDLE CHALLENGE TROPHY

Assessed prices: Buveur D'air $1.70, Faugheen $6.00, Melon $21.00

Buveur D'air won this race last year and is the horse to beat again in 2018. Three from three this time in and deserves to go off odds-on which he surely will. There could be some value in Faugheen. He hasn't been near his best since returning from injury but the winner of this in 2015 is brilliant at his best and there were promising signs last time. Melon is better than his last start and My Tent Or Yours has finished runner-up in the race 3 times. Racing And Sports
