Below you will find the various styles of tables which can be produced using Racing And Sports technology. These will aid in your punting as you may have specific areas of focus when you do the form. To best read that information, we have provided below some Explanations for the Abbreviations used in our specialized Form Guides.

Field

This is the basic summary of the race. It includes the horse name, weight to be carried, barrier position, jockey (+ rating – see below) and trainer (+ rating – see below).

There is comprehensive information for every start of every horse running in every race that Racing And Sports have records of.

JRat: Racing And Sports unique jockey rating. The range is 0 - 5 with 2.5 being an average value and 5 being the highest. The rating is calculated from each riders statistics and includes overall strike rate plus distance, course, Metropolitan, Provincial or Country performance and favourites strike rate. A H after a rating means the jockey is riding hot at a rate exceeding his 12 month bench mark.

TRat: Racing And Sports unique trainer rating. The range is 0 - 5 with 2.5 being an average value and 5 being the highest. The rating is calculated from each trainers statistics and includes overall strike rate plus distance, course, Metropolitan, Provincial or Country performances and favourites strike rate. A H after a rating means the trainer is performing hot at a rate exceeding his 12 month bench mark.

Rating

Racing And Sports has the most extensive database in the world of racing and this allows us to evaluate a horse's level of performance and create ratings as they apply to the race they are contesting. You can see from the data below how every runner is assessed with a numeric figure and you can compare them to each other as well as for each horse as to where they are best suited (ie on an all-weather surface or their current form or who might run best on wet ground).

Est: Computer generated Predictive Final Rating based along the lines of Don Scott methods

50d: Last 50 days rating

BL3: Best of last 3 ratings

12m: Twelve Month High Rating (adjusted for the weight to be carried today and includes any weight for age improvement up until today's run)

RT GF: Best Rating on good to fast ground (adjusted for the weight to be carried today and includes any weight for age improvement up until today's run)

RT D: Best Rating on dead ground (adjusted for the weight to be carried today and includes any weight for age improvement up until today's run)

RT SH: Best Rating on slow to heavy ground (adjusted for the weight to be carried today and includes any weight for age improvement up until today's run)

p: Provisional ratings

Neurals

These are computer enhanced analyses of all the areas which go into making up a race field. They factor in algorithms for every contingency as explained below and added them up to generate the likely best horse in a race.

Explanation of Inputs for Neural Analysis:

CP - Career Performance assessment based on weight/class algorithms

CF - Current form measured by class/weight algorithms

TIM - Revolutionary time assessment (adjusted algorithm)

JA - Jockey ability algorithm

TA - Trainer ability algorithm

JT - Jockey/trainer combination algorithm

BP - Barrier position (course & distance) algorithm

WET - Wet track performance algorithm

CRS - Course suitability algorithm

D - Distance suitability algorithm

$ - Prize money earned algorithm

DLR - days since last run algorithm

The user sets the level of importance from the Preference Scale (1 to 5 or No) for each algorithm and the output weightings are listed within seconds.

The Neural factor analysis will quickly identify for you just who are the main chances in each race, the highest to the lowest based on the factor weightings.
